This is the start of my journey into visualizing what is before me as a digital photographer, unlike being a traditional film photographer that I was for many years. Then revisualizing into the digital layers, that which effect me. Those elements which effect my works and why I do what I do and the way I view my works ... always thinking of those who support my works of course. Those who might not influence me but still lurk, I do care about those who choose to watch the visual journey that I'm making and have been good and fine supporters of my work. Especially Amanda aka MoonlitWhisper [link] Seania ex Wolfluver13 [link] , Birger aka Zx20 [link] and Reuben aka reubenvbm [link] I hope all readers here have the support, that I gain from these four people.

Just like searching for treasure off a pirate's map, this shot portrays the start of the search ... but with less keel-hauling, far less bloodshed, definitely less shark baiting, hopefully less navigational errors, much correct reading of the winds and the pressure differences and plotting tidal influences and always appreciating that a red sky at night, is a sailor's delight ... then the puzzel will evolve into a true treasure, that I'm sure.

I'd like to thank Geoff aka Youwha [link] and Steve aka AussieSteve1961 [link] for their fine advice, and helping to start my journey into photo manipulation.

... and to Mike aka MHNation [link] who knows why my shots will be better than they have been ... or of a far greater scope optically speaking.

Most important are the resources made available for this image from Pixeltool-stock [link] . I checked out many of Pixeltool-stock's works before making the selection for the ambience for this shot ... and the stock of others who have generously given to dA their time and resources. The type of generosity that has allowed the web to become the power that it is.

For those who might like to see my original image (secondary now to Pixelstock's main image that is) ... this is it, [link]

Warren.

Steve, thanks Mate and you are welcome.

Your comment about duping all the layers is most valuable.

duplicating the layers will save a lot of grief and a lot of time recreating what you have already done :)

It is very good. It also means that I can go off on tangents and try several different things to speed up the learning process ... while simply dropping back to the stage that last worked well if need be.

what area do you want to do better at?
I stick 90% to photo manips starting from start to finish and 10% on photography ( which I am soooooooooo new at )
Once you have a field you want to excel at, then you study harder on that area....then branch out to new themes.
